Holiday in Croatia – spring
Holidays in Croatia: What to do on the island of Krk in spring?
Holidays in Croatia at spring time – As soon as the first signs of spring are felt, people are cheerfully and it pulls them out into the awakening nature. Unfortunately, bathing fans have to wait until mid-May, but nature lovers and sun worshipers will love the Croatian spring.
Now in the pre-season, you will find the peace and serenity of exploring the island and getting to know the country, the people and the customs. Numerous hiking trails lead across the island, through hilly landscapes, vineyards, olive groves and green valleys (400 km marked hiking trails).
Those who like it even more sportily can explore the island by mountain bike. The island of Krk as an example has about 100 km of cycle paths, which cover the island net-like. Multi-day cycling tours are therefore easy to plan, the stages can be adapted to the respective performance level.
Croatia is famous for its wines and olive oils, and especially the Vrbnik wine region is a highlight for gourmets in the spring.
There is also a specialty restaurant in each small village, which offers some of the best international award-winning wines and serves the smoked ham (Prsut).
And do not forget the food! Taste Istrian truffles, wild asparagus and homemade sausages. Because you can not resist!
Motorbike riding with the whole family
Experience empty roads and feel as an Easy Rider on your bike. The sun is warming up and burning on your face, you smell the nature, take breaks and eat something. Life can be sooo beautiful!
